Day is the day of romance and named for a Christian martyr and dates back to
the 5th century, but has origins in the Roman holiday Lupercalia.
Each year on February 14th.
Valentine’s Day is a time when people
show feelings of love, affection and friendship. It is celebrated in many ways
world wise and falls on February 14 each year. Hearts, the colors red and pink,
images and statures of cupids and cupid’s bows and arrow symbolize the feeling
of romance and love in Valentine’s Day.
Cupid is usually portrayed as a small
winged figure with a bow and arrow. The day focuses on love, romance,
appreciation and friendship.
